Secure your dates with a 20% deposit: $500 per traveler, based on the starting price of $2500. Pay safely with PayPal or a debit or credit card, and our team will contact you within 24 hours to confirm your trip.

Private tour. Prices change with the season: summer is usually cheaper, while Christmas, New Year and special events such as the 2027 solar eclipse cost more. The final price depends on your dates and group size, and we confirm it in your quote.

By paying the deposit you agree to our cancellation policy: 100% refund 60 days or more before the trip, 50% refund 30 to 59 days before, and no refund less than 30 days before. Nile cruise, flight and train costs are non-refundable once booked. Full details are in the Price Policy tab.

This 10-day itinerary is designed for African American and Black travelers who want to experience Egypt as an African story, from ancient Kemet to the Nubian south.

Stand before the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, walk through thousands of years of history at the Grand Egyptian Museum, and feel the energy of historic Cairo and the Khan El Khalili bazaar. In Alexandria, explore the Citadel of Qaitbay on the Mediterranean, the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and the city’s Greco-Roman past. Sail the Nile between Luxor and Aswan, the river route that linked Egypt and Nubia for thousands of years, stopping at the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo along the way. Venture into the Western Desert to the Siwa Oasis, with its mud-brick fortress, salt lakes, and the Temple of the Oracle of Amun.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

On arrival in Cairo, our representative meets you with a Black Travel Egypt sign and takes you by private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Cairo – Great Pyramids & Egyptian Museum

Explore the Giza Plateau and the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the last surviving wonder of the ancient world, alongside the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Stand face to face with the Great Sphinx and walk through the Valley Temple beside it. At the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, your Egyptologist walks you through masterpieces from every era of ancient Egypt. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Fly to Aswan - Aswan Day Tour

Start with a short domestic flight to Aswan. See the Aswan High Dam, the engineering project that created Lake Nasser. See the Unfinished Obelisk, still lying in its ancient granite quarry. Take a short boat ride to Philae Temple, the island sanctuary of the goddess Isis. Overnight in cruise.

Day 4: Nile Cruise - Kom Ombo & Edfu

At Kom Ombo, see the unusual double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, overlooking the Nile. At Edfu, explore the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved temple in Egypt. Sail on to Luxor while you relax on the sun deck and watch life along the Nile. Overnight on Cruise.

Day 5: Nile Cruise – Luxor West Bank

Visit the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, set against towering cliffs. Stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two giant seated statues of Amenhotep III. Overnight on cruise.

Day 6: Luxor – East Bank - Fly to Cairo

Visit Luxor Temple, the great sanctuary at the heart of ancient Thebes. Explore Karnak Temple, where the Great Hypostyle Hall’s forest of 134 giant columns is one of the most powerful sights in Egypt. Then take a short domestic flight to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 7: Alexandria City Tour

Travel by road to Alexandria. Visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a striking modern tribute to the great library of antiquity. Visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. Stroll through the gardens of Montaza Palace on the Mediterranean shore. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 8: Alexandria - Siwa

Explore the Siwa Oasis, from the mud-brick Shali Fortress to the Temple of the Oracle of Amun and its springs. Overnight in Siwa.

Day 9: Siwa - Cairo Open Day

Enjoy a free day to relax on the beach or by the pool, or ask us to add an optional excursion. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, travel by road to Cairo. After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight home, with memories to last a lifetime.

Price Policy

Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars per person per trip and can be paid in EUR or GBP.

Children Policy

The children’s policy applies to children who share a room with their parents. If your trip includes a flight ticket, additional fees for your children may apply.

Children under 2 years of age can travel free of charge with their parents.
From 2 to 6 years old: 25% of the adult price
From 6 to 11 years old: 50% of the adult price
Children aged 12 and over-travel at the same fare as adults.

Deposit

Once your itinerary is confirmed, we will collect 20% of the agreed final trip value as a deposit. You can pay it online on the tour page with PayPal or a debit or credit card.

Tipping

Tipping is part of the Egyptian culture to express one's satisfaction with the good services provided to him by his duty staff. It would be nice to give it when you are satisfied with our services and if not then you don't have to do it.

Cancellation Policy (Packages and Nile Cruises)

Cancellations must be sent to us in writing by email or WhatsApp. The number of days is counted from the date we receive your cancellation to the first day of your trip.

60 days or more before the trip: 100% refund.
30 to 59 days before the trip: 50% refund.
Less than 30 days before the trip, or no-show: no refund.

Important: non-refundable bookings. Once we have booked and paid for your Nile cruise cabin, domestic flights, train tickets or other third-party services on your behalf, these amounts are non-refundable at any time, because the cruise ships and airlines do not refund us. Any refund is calculated after deducting these costs.

Refunds are made to the original payment method. Requests to change travel dates are handled case by case, subject to availability, and any supplier charges for the change are paid by the traveler. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.
